In this edition, American Hotel & lodging Education Institution (AHLEI) explains how the hospitality sector contributes to the US economy and also showcases how AHLEI trains employees for this important sector.

The American Hotel & Lodging Association (AHLA) is reporting that the country’s hospitality sector is responsible for 4.5 million jobs directly related to hotel business in US and predicts there will be a further 3.3 million jobs created as more hotel projects come on stream in the coming years.

AHLEI has built bridges between schools, workforce agencies and employers through various training and educational programmes and plans to target more candidates, providing increased levels of support for young hotel professionals.
