Description

As we approach World Tourism Day on Wednesday, September 27 with the theme ‘Sustainable Tourism – a Tool for Development’, the topic of sustainable tourism and human capital development (HCD) is particularly pertinent as the skills and talents of tourism professionals are a critical part of ensuring a sustainable future for the travel and tourism industry and its role in supporting the global sustainable development goals.

In this edition of the PATA VE Bulletin, Ayako Ezaki, Training Director at the Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC), examines how organisations can further develop HCD in sustainable tourism.
