EarthSafe is now live and free for the PATA members

Australia, 16th October, 2020 - The program, EarthSafe has been developed to help operators and destinations across the world to meet the new health, wellness and hygiene expectations now demanded in a COVID-19 recovery. EarthSafe will provide each PATA member with a pathway to foster and create an environment of confidence through the take up and delivery of recognised health and hygiene standards and practices.

Certification under EarthSafe is about embedding real, tangible assurance practices which can provide confidence and reassurance to visitors, operators, and the local community.

It is recognised that part of PATA membership’s transition to a post COVID-19 environment is the need to bring their assets and communities back online and to create an environment which can help retain and sustain jobs and help build back business and consumer confidence under a recovery and regeneration agenda.

Both EarthSafe Standards provide a holistic approach to hygiene management and recovery backed up by credible and third party audit certification. The Standards help to assure the community that the PATA members have a strong commitment to deliver leading health, hygiene and sustainability practices.

In summary, EarthSafe will help PATA members meet the following objectives:

  • Position them as an international leader in recovery and regeneration efforts;

  • Support their commitment to health and wellbeing;

  • Contribute to management commitments to building resilient and sustainable destinations; and

  • Provide a consistent policy response to health and hygiene practices which can help foster business and consumer confidence.
