Aman Pathak- Sustainability & Research Center - Sustainability Intern

Namaste, everyone! I’m Aman Pathak from Almora, Uttarakhand, and I am currently interning as a Sustainability and Social Responsibility Associate at PATA. This role aligns perfectly with my passion for sustainable tourism and heritage management, allowing me to contribute to PATA’s mission of promoting responsible tourism practices in the Pacific Asia region.

My background includes significant experience from my internship at Ernst and Young on the ASI ‘Adopt a Heritage 2.0’ project, where I worked on CSR database management and heritage impact assessments. I’m also pursuing a Master’s in Archaeology and Heritage Management at SHRM, Ambedkar University, which complements my commitment to sustainable practices and heritage preservation.

I’m excited to learn from PATA's dynamic team and contribute to our shared goals. It’s a great opportunity to expand my network and make a meaningful impact in the tourism sector!

Charles N. Martin- Membership Intern

Mabuhay from the Philippines! I am Charles Martin (Cha) an International Hospitality Management student specializing in Hotel Administration at Enderun Colleges. As someone who loves incorporating my real life experiences and traveling, it’s always been the best feeling to interact, be able to know more culture and provide service or help to other people.

With that, gaining experiences in different fields of the hospitality industry from events, marketing, and guest service including a hotel internship in France led me to where I am in PATA today. Being an advocate of sustainability and inclusivity, I am excited to know more about travel and tourism, especially its various industries involved in creating a better industry growth and development on an international level.

Hello! I’m Dayoon from Korea (ROK), currently studying Business Economics at the University of Exeter. With a strong interest in the tourism sector, I am excited to be part of PATA’s research team. My academic background has equipped me with a solid understanding of various industries, while my passion for tourism drives my curiosity and enthusiasm for the field. I thrive on exploring new experiences and challenges, which has led me to this incredible opportunity at PATA.

Hyunji Kim- Marketing Intern

Hi! I’m Hyunji from Korea (ROK). I majored in tourism and studied business as a double degree at Hanyang University. While studying tourism, my biggest interest has always been “sustainable tourism.” Additionally, I enjoyed every moment of cultural exchange during university activities, an exchange year in Germany, and an internship at another international organization. These interests led me to PATA! I feel so honored to be part of PATA, which aims to bolster sustainability in tourism at an international level.

Working at PATA offers me the chance not only to learn pratical skills and insights in an organization perfectly aligned with my core values but also to interact with colleagues from different cultural backgrounds! Xin Chao, I’m Ngoc Linh, a girl from the North side of Vietnam. Currently, I am in my university journey at International Media and Entertainment Management Department, I-shou University, Kaohsiung, Chinese Taipei. I’m also a travel lover and want to explore new things so unlocking new experiences with PATA Team is an interesting opportunity for me.

I have a chance to understand the tourism industry and connect with colleagues from different sides of the world. Being a PATA marketing intern also helps me apply what I study from school to practical work, be creative and productive, and learn new skills. Yeoreum Lee- Events Intern

Hello! I'm Yeoreum Lee. I’m originally from Korea but have spent an amazing ten years in Thailand, where I attended an international school. Living in Thailand, a country at the center of tourism, made me curious about seeing even more of the world. This unique mix of cultures has given me a deep appreciation for diversity and how it makes our world so fascinating and varied. I’m currently majoring in International Studies in Korea and am fluent in three languages, which makes traveling even more enjoyable. For me, traveling is about experiencing different cultures and gaining new perspectives from the people I meet.

Working with PATA’s events team has been inspiring. I’m excited to collaborate with such passionate and talented people. I strongly believe that the knowledge and skills I'm gaining here will be incredibly valuable for my future studies and career. This experience is something I'll always cherish as I get more involved in the world of international relations and tourism.

About the PATA Internship Programme

The PATA Internship Programme provides students with the opportunity to learn about PATA and the travel & tourism industry on an international scale. Interns will be required to perform operational, support, and administrative tasks in various parts of the organisation.
