India, 24th September, 2021 - Abdul Nazar is the first Mumbai Malayali to be granted by the UAE authorities with a 10 year Dubai Golden Visa. Nazar is the Chairman and Managing Director of Akbar Group. He is known for his outstanding contributions in the industry as he lead the prominent travel group, Akbar Travels of India. Akbar Travels is included in more than two dozen of companies under the Akbar Group. Through Nazar's leadership, the travel agency group is now providing services to more than 150 countries as it expanded to 18 companies operating in 20 verticals under the name.

The UAE authorities started issuing the Golden Visa in 2019. The visa allows foreigners to live, work, study, or do business in the Gulf country without the need for a national sponsor. Visa holders will also have 100% ownership of their business in the main part of the UAE.
Furthermore, visas are issued to those who have made outstanding contributions in various fields around the world including in academics and professionals. The visa is valid for a period of five years to 10 years. Foreign investors who have invested Dh1 million or more in the UAE will also receive a Golden Visa.
