Tripadvisor just released their annual Travelers’ Choice Awards, this month focusing on Destinations
28th January, 2021 - Now that we’re getting into the new year and the vaccine is beginning to roll out, consumers’ confidence that they'll be able to globetrot again in 2021 is rising, particularly in the second half of the year. In fact, according to the report Ambra shared with you last week, 47% of global travellers say they are planning to travel internationally in 2021, and 11% have already booked an international trip.
To inspire those travellers we decided to release today our annual Travelers’ Choice Awards for Destinations, highlighting travellers’ favourite places around the globe. This includes:
Popular Destinations: the iconic, can’t-miss destinations that are always at the top of travellers’ wish lists – you will find the “Best of the Best” globally here – lots of APAC destinations are in this list! – and the regional ones
Trending Destinations: destinations on the rise throughout the pandemic - these spots saw the biggest increase in positive ratings and reviews over the last year. Winners can be found here
Emerging Destinations: based on places that saw the biggest increase in “saves” on Tripadvisor, these are the destinations travellers were dreaming of while they were stuck at home all year — and where they may go next. Winners can be found here
