General Manager - Cambodia, Intrepid Travel

Aye is a highly experienced tourism professional with a wealth of knowledge leading teams across Southeast Asia. She started her journey with Intrepid Travel in 2014 as Deputy Operations Manager in Myanmar, before taking on key leadership roles as Operations Manager and General Manager in both Myanmar and Indonesia. As a young woman, it took a lot of patience and dedication to lead the team comprised of 80% men with extensive experiences. In addition, these roles saw her lead teams through challenging political and economic environments and further honed her skills in leadership, crisis management and operations.

Aye also has a great passion for having a positive impact through tourism and is an active participant in developing sustainable experiences for the travelers as well as training a lot of tour leaders/guides on the aspect of responsible travel practices, ensuring that travelers respect local customs, do no harm the environment, minimize negative tourism impacts to the destination and sites they are visiting.

After nearly a decade with Intrepid, Aye has stepped into the role of General Manager in Cambodia. She is detailed, patient, customer-oriented and willing to go the extra mile to ensure travellers also have a fantastic experience, wherever she is in the world.
