Bahruz Asgarov

Deputy Chief Executive Officer, Azerbaijan Tourism Board

Bahruz Asgarov is the Deputy Chief Executive Officer at the Azerbaijan Tourism Board (ATB). Working closely with the Chief Executive Officer, Bahruz deploys his progressive operational experience and tourism development expertise to position Azerbaijan as a prominent holiday and MICE destination in the world. Prior to joining ATB, Bahruz assumed the role of Incoming Operations and MICE Director at one of the Azerbaijan’s leading DMCs PASHA Travel, and NOC Services Manager at the inaugural Baku 2015 European Games Operation Committee. Bahruz also worked with the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Azerbaijan as a Conference and Event Organiser, liaising with international organisations, government bodies and ministries to raise the profile of Azerbaijan as tourism destination, and delivered high-level international meetings that Baku hosted.

Bahruz holds a Master’s Degree in International Events Management from University of Surrey. He also has a Bachelor’s Degree in International Relations and Regional Studies from Azerbaijan State University of Languages.
