Claude Colombie
Chairman of the Board, Agir pour le Cambodge
Claude Colombie has over 25 years experience in the global hospitality industry with top-level management expertise across all sectors. After completing a Masters Degree in Hotel and Catering Management at Toulouse University, Claude embarked upon his international career with various in-flight catering management positions (sales and operations) for LSG Skychef in Paris, before taking up the role of Director of Operations for an international catering company in Tahiti (French Polynesia).
Claude is particularly knowledgeable about the industry in the Middle East, having managed and expanded a portfolio of 12 fine dining restaurants in Beirut, as well as major catering contracts for Compass Group in Lebanon.
Following a return to Europe in 2005, Claude extended his expertise to the exhibition world, working at Director level for a Parisian event catering company and premier exhibition venues including Brussels Expo, Paris Expo and different other cultural sites such as museum, opera and theaters.
Two brief experiences working for NGO’s in Africa with Planète Urgence led to Claude’s decision that it was time for new challenges!
As a result, in July 2012 Claude took up the position of Country Manager for the French NGO, Agir pour le Cambodge, running the Sala Bai Hotel and Restaurant School program in Siem Reap – Cambodia till June 2016.
Back to Paris, Claude took over the Board of Agir pour le Cambodge in 2019 (volunteer) and is currently Director for a French organization, which develop insertion structures through economic activity.
