Previously, he has worked as Coordinator of the Tourism Observatory in Barcelona: city and region. Head of the LABturisme (Innovation and Business Intelligence Unit) of the Barcelona Provincial Council, transferring tourism knowledge between the University and the main R & D groups to the main DMOs. Professor of Smart Tourism Destinations at CETT – University of Barcelona. His current line of specialization is the Marketing of Tourist Destinations and Strategic Planning.
In recent years, he has participated in numerous national and international projects as well as speaker and keynote speaker at the main congresses focused on this topic.
Geographer specializing in tourism planning and member of the ANTERRIT research group, member of TTRA Europe and guest lecturer at the universities of Toulouse (France) and Monterrey (Mexico).
His Doctoral Thesis focused on Wine Tourism as a Local Development Activity.
Master in Tourism Business Management from Canterbury University, New Zealand. Specialties: tourism, innovation, wine tourism, management of tourist destinations (DMO).
