Dato’ Haji Zainuddin Abdul Wahab

Director-General, Tourism Malaysia

Dato’ Haji Zainuddin Abdul Wahab became the Director-General of Tourism Malaysia on 13 September 2021. Prior to the appointment, he led the organisation as the Senior Director of Management (Covering for Deputy Director General Planning) and Senior Director of Strategic Planning Division as well as Director of Production Division. He rose through the ranks with over 36 years of working experience in the tourism industry before seconding as the Director-General of Islamic Tourism Centre (ITC) in 2009. He is currently a Member of the Board of Tourism Malaysia and the Sarawak Tourism Board and previously served as Senior Private Secretary to the Minister of Tourism (2004-2006). He holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Charles Sturt University, Australia.
