Dato Dennis Ngau is a prominent figure in Sarawak’s political and tourism landscape. Born and raised in the deep interior of Sarawak, belonging to the Kayan ethnic tribe, he has always had a profound love for nature instilled in him from his surroundings.
With over three decades of experience in the tourism industry, Dennis’ dedication and expertise have been recognized by the Sarawak State Government, appointing him as the Chairman of the Sarawak Tourism Board in 2020. In this role, he has led initiatives to promote sustainable tourism, ensuring that the natural beauty and cultural heritage of Sarawak are preserved for future generations.
Beyond his responsibilities in tourism, Dennis is also a respected member of the Sarawak State Legislative Assembly, serving his third term. He actively advocates for the interests of his constituents and works towards the overall development of Sarawak.
In addition to his political and professional endeavours, Dennis is deeply involved in preserving and promoting the unique cultural heritage of Sarawak’s ethnic tribes. As the President of the Sarawak Kayan Association, he spearheads efforts to preserve and cultivate interest among the younger generation in their traditions and customs.
