Dr. Nawamin Pinpathomrat
Nawamin Pinpathomrat is a post-doctoral medical scientist at University of Oxford but unexpectedly ended up to be a MasterChef UK Finalist.
Growing up in a very traditional Thai household, it would be custom for the mother to pass on her cooking knowledge to her daughter. However, Nawamin one of three boys and was the only one to find a love for cooking. His grandmother is his greatest cooking influence. He lived with her for a few years and that when he fell in love with cooking and thought the kitchen was a playground.
One day he hopes to open a charity restaurant where the funds would help those who can’t afford medical care in Thailand.
Education:
Nawamin went to a medical school in Hat Yai and furthered his study in the UK with scholarship- completed his Master in Immunology at Imperial College London and is currently in the last year of his DPhil, trying to invent a vaccines for Tuberculosis.
