Jean-Marc Mocellin

Born in New-Caledonia, JMM is a graduate from the Hotel, Catering & Tourism school of Nice. He spent his career in International deluxe hotel brands which took him from Europe to several countries in Africa. He moved to resorts management in Fiji for his first GM’s position and then went to Tahiti where he settled a few years heading the legendary Beachcomber Intercontinental resort before moving again to Thailand for the same brand. In Tahiti he was Co-President of the Hotel Association, dealing with successive governments, tourism bodies, trade unions and actively involved in tourism strategies. He negotiated the hotel labor collective agreement, initiating the service charge, making tourism industry more attractive for employment. Throughout his hotel management journey, Jean-marc specialized in hotel openings & projects management, maintained the highest competitivity ratios for his resorts or organized business recovery under adverse market conditions. Constantly delivering top rank Guest experience, promoting local culture, he is known to be an inspiring manager and a leader in terms of employee's satisfaction. In 2017, he was called to set up "New-Caledonia Tourism development agency" and lead NEW-CALEDONIA TOURISM for 3 years. In May 2020, at the peak of the Covid Crisis, Jean-marc MOCELLIN has returned to Tahiti taking the role of TAHITI TOURISM Chief Executive Officer.
