Marianne Johnsen is Director of Sales at the regional marketing and sales company Fjord Norway. Before she started working for Fjord Norway, she served as the Marketing Manager of Visit Bergen from 2001 to 2020. She has over 27 year of experience in marketing, sales and destination development. Marianne is leading the international sales work towards the holiday and leisure market. She is working hard to ensure a correct and sustainable development in the entire Fjord Norway region, throughout the year. Marianne has built up a large global network for the incoming and tour operator market through her more than 25 years of international sales and marketing experience. Marianne speaks English, German and French fluently and is enthusiastic about the details in her region, whether large or small.

Marianne plays an important part in securing tourists to Fjord Norway throughout the year by working with new tour operators in new markets, as well as working with existing tour operators who already send customers to the region. Most people need advice and help on how to extend the season, as well as focusing on the main season, October to April. In addition, it is important that active work is done to develop a closer bond with airlines that fly direct routes throughout the year to Western Norway, Marianne is focusing very much on this, filling up this capacity through close cooperation with global tour operators.
