Onur Gözet

Deputy Director General for Promotion, Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Republic of Türkiye

Onur began his career in the private sector, working for five years in a private company before continuing his professional journey at the Ministry of Culture and Tourism.  Starting from 1989, he held various positions within the Ministry, including Architect, Controller at the General Directorate of Investments and Establishments, Specialist at the Strategic Planning Department, Head of the Department of EU and Foreign Relations, and Head of the Department at the General Directorate of Promotion.

His international assignments include serving as Deputy Counsellor for Tourism at the Embassy of Türkiye in Tel Aviv, Israel (1996-2000) and as Counsellor for Culture and Tourism at the Embassy of Türkiye in Warsaw, Poland (2002-2007).

In 2018, he was appointed Deputy Director General for Promotion. 

Additionally, he represents the Republic of Türkiye on the Council of Europe EPA Cultural Routes Governing Board, and he is a Member of the Ministry of Trade Advertisement Council.

Onur is a graduate of the Middle East Technical University, Faculty of Architecture, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Architecture.
