Nayar has over 35 years’ experience in the marcom industry, having built his skill sets, expertise and experience in international advertising agencies across different markets.
Today, he runs his own boutique consultancy.
Nayar has developed strategy and creative in branding, marketing, promotion and audience engagement campaigns for World Top 100 Brands and Fortune 500 Companies.
His belief on research and insights as being pivotal to the realisation of objectives, has shown impact in tourism, palm oil, automobile, property, banking-finance, trade and investment and, pro bono public service campaigns, run worldwide.
In tourism, Nayar worked on the inaugural Visit Malaysia Year campaign i.e. VMY1990 along with other VMY campaigns over the years, and, strategised, developed and creative directed non-region-centric Global Campaigns for Tourism Malaysia, including MICE/BE, stretching from before and during the Global Financial Crisis and outbreaks of H1N1 and SARS, and through the C-19 pandemic.
In addition, he conceptualised ideas for niche events, Malaysia Tourism Awards and World Tourism Conference, and, conceptualised and ran workshops and webinars for Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture and industry players.
He has also been invited to give talks at events worldwide.
In light of his experience, Nayar takes pride in mentoring the young generation keen on getting a foothold in the industry.
