Raini Hamdi is a business journalist and her beat is travel & tourism. Her business stories and in-depth knowledge of the industry have won her awards, including Journalist of the Year presented by PATA.

She joined Skift in October 2018 as its first Asia Editor, launched Skift Asia Weekly and contributed to the first Skift Forum Asia, held in Singapore in 2019. Before Skift, she worked at TTG Asia Media as Group Editor, before stepping into remote work as Senior Editor. In that role, she advised TTG Editors on management and editorial direction for all titles, and was directly in charge of TTG Asia Luxury, which she launched in 2012.

Previously, she also contributed to Forbes Asia and Hotels U.S. magazine.

Raini has written two books, Developing Hospitality Talent, and Living In A Great Big Way.
