An alumni of India’s premier institute, Modern School, New Delhi, SanJeet has done B.Com. Hons from Sri Ram College of Commerce, Delhi University besides acquiring an M.B.A. from Faculty of Management Studies (FMS), Delhi University. In addition, he has a diploma in computer programming, and has done a stint in a Journalism school.
SanJeet acquired considerable professional expertise in the Times of India group of publication, where, among other things, he was the first to visit Finland and the Netherlands to produce special surveys on them for The Economic Times. He was also responsible for promoting the Times of India’s “Saturday Times” and the “Travel Times”. He was posted to the London Office of the Times of India as Branch Manager in 1985 but he decided to stay in his own country and embark on a publishing venture.
SanJeet has been nurtured in the publishing profession from his early years. His grandfather late Shri Durga Das was the Editor in Chief of the Hindustan Times and he introduced India’s first newswire agency - India News and Feature Alliance (INFA).
Under SanJeet’s leadership, DDP Publications publishes 8 magazines – one from Dubai and produces “Tourism Breaking News” every day.
Travel TV.news, the first and only of its kind is a 3 minutes news clip which remains the world’s only Travel TV capsule distributed free of cost globally.
After representing FITUR, JATA & Reeds Travel Exhibition for over 25 years, SanJeet in collaboration with PLG Group, Bangkok ventured into his own specialized show called The Travel Shows – Luxury, MICE, Wedding & Allied.
To recognize and encourage the tourism industry, India Travel Awards, India Cargo Awards and Arabian Travel Awards were created for the local regional levels of tourism.
Last but not the least, he is the Tourism Attache of Philippines Tourism, and represents Holland, Munich and Nevada Tourism.
It goes without saying that he has won many accolades and has presented many a paper at various national and global platforms.
