Surayyal Hizmi

Surayyal Hizmi is a lecturer at Lombok Tourism Polytechnic, having completed her Master’s Degree in 2017 in Applied Science with a major in Natural Resources Management. She completed Sustainable Tourism Training in 2020 and received a Certificate of Sustainability from the Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC). She is also currently active in several projects collaborating with the Australian university alumni through Bamboo Ecotourism in Sembalun to expand the application of sustainability. With her team, she found a tourism organisation called Andakara Tourism Organisation (ATO) that is focused on tourism consultation and development destination with sustainability concept.
Short bio of PATA Lombok Tourism Polytechnic
PATA Lombok Tourism Polytechnic Student Chapter was noted officially in Cebu, Philippines in 2018. This organization actively supports and contributes to PATA’s mission & goals, promotes the concept of sustainable tourism and creates globally competitive as well as empowers students as Young Tourism Professionals (YTPs). This organization has 43 members from three study programs at Lombok Tourism Polytechnic selected through a tight selection and interview. It has short term and long term projects, in which the most impactful projects are gallon corner, eco enzyme, petroleum campaign and public participation in supporting tourist villages.
