Christmas for All United to spread good this holiday season
Bangalore, India, 16th January, 2021 - PATA India CHRIST University Student Chapter initiated the “Christmas for All” campaign in November. This event aimed at uplifting lesser fortunate communities with the help of donations. Discussions were held with various PATA Student Chapters in the Asia Pacific, who were on board with participating in the campaign. Thus, the first-ever goodwill collaboration between the chapters was born.
A shared website was created, containing information about the various organisations that the student chapters had selected for the cause. This website made the donation process simple and straightforward, allowing people to donate directly. The student chapters organised activities for the campaign as well. This included virtual tours, food donation drives, and fundraising.
The campaign was a great success. PATA India CHRIST University Student Chapter alone contributed Rs. 12,000 towards aid to children infected with HIV at St. Vincent’s Home in Andhra Pradesh, India. Donations from partnering student chapters were made to orphanages, homeless shelters, and animal shelters. It truly embodied the spirit of Christmas and the gift of giving. The PATA Student Chapters have agreed to make this an annual collaborative event, aiming to make it bigger and better in the coming years and assist the needy in any way possible.

About PATA India CHRIST University Student Chapter
Founded in 2020, PATA India CHRIST University Student Chapter is India’s first PATA Student Chapter. The organisation is run by students of the tourism discipline of CHRIST (Deemed to be University) for the benefit of more than 250 members spanning across undergraduate and postgraduate tourism programmes in the university. The members are encouraged to participate in activities hosted by the chapter, focusing on various industry concerns, including sustainability and industry development.
