PATA Bangladesh Dhaka University (DU) Student Chapter: Career Familiarization 3.0
Dhaka, Bangladesh 13 February 2024 - The "Career Familiarization 3.0" event, organized by the PATA Bangladesh Dhaka University Student Chapter on February 13, 2024, at Professor DR. Mohammad Habibullah Conference Hall, Faculty of Business Studies, University of Dhaka, at 11 a.m., was a notable occasion aimed at helping students navigate their career paths in the hospitality sector.
A career familiarization program was held annually for the new students of the Tourism and Hospitality Management Department. They had already arranged two career familiarization events in different years. This event served as a vital platform for new students.
They offered a platform for participants to gain insights into various career opportunities within the hospitality industry through the expertise of this sector.
In this event, Mr. Shahid Hamid, FIH (Chairman of the PATA Bangladesh Chapter), Mr. Kamrul Islam (GM, Public Relations,Us-Bangla Airlines), Mr. Aswani Nayar (General Manager of Intercontinental Dhaka (IHG)), and Sadia Haque (Founder of ShareTrip Ltd.) were present. They shared their experiences and offered practical advice to the students. They conducted interactive sessions, panel discussions, industry trends, and personal development strategies.
The students had the opportunity to engage in networking sessions, participate in Q&A segments, and receive personalised guidance on career planning and development. By providing access to experienced mentors and industry insiders, "Career Familiarization 3.0" aimed to bridge the gap between academic learning and professional application, preparing participants for successful careers in the dynamic hospitality industry.
