PATA India Christ University Student Chapter: Alta Vista: Re-igniting the Spirit of Tourism and Festing

Bangalore, Karnataka, India, 7-9th September 2023 – PATA India Christ University Student Chapter in collaboration with Christ University School of Business and Management Tourism (CUSBMAT) at Christ (Deemed to be University), Bangalore, hosted the highly anticipated three-day event, Alta Vista, designed to ignite the spirit of festing among BBA Tourism and Management students. Over 200 attendees participated in a series of engaging and tourism-related activities, creating a vibrant and immersive festival experience. The fest featured diverse events, including workshops, competitions, cultural performances, and guest lectures, all aimed at enhancing the students' understanding of the tourism industry while fostering a sense of camaraderie and excitement.

Held from September 7th to 9th, Alta Vista provided a platform for students to immerse themselves in the world of tourism management through a variety of interesting and educational events. The objectives of the fest were to bring synergy among the students with tourism-related activities and to allow them to experience the dynamics of the tourism industry. With over 200 attendees, the fest was a significant step towards increasing engagement and enthusiasm among students, as well as exposing them to the latest industry trends.

The outcomes of Alta Vista were highly positive, with students demonstrating increased enthusiasm and engagement throughout the event. The exposure to industry trends and practical knowledge gained from the workshops and guest lectures was invaluable. The cultural performances and competitions fostered a strong sense of community among the participants, making Alta Vista a memorable and enriching experience for all involved.

About PATA India CHRIST University Student Chapter:

Founded in 2020, PATA India CHRIST University Student Chapter is India’s first PATA Student Chapter. The organization is run by students of the tourism discipline of CHRIST (Deemed to be University) to benefit more than 250 members spanning across undergraduate and postgraduate tourism programmes in the university. The members are encouraged to participate in activities hosted by the chapter, focusing on various industry concerns, including sustainability and industry development.
