PATA Malaysia Taylor's Student Chapter's Virtual Team Building Session

Subang Jaya, Malaysia, 22nd March 2021 - Malaysia Taylor's Student Chapter organized a virtual team building session with the members last 21st February 2021. The session was aimed to know each member (existing and new members) closely. The COVID 19 pandemic does not permit these students to meet face-to-face, and most of the activities were conducted virtually. Hence, PATA Malaysia Taylor's Student Chapter's existing committee used this opportunity to get to know each other through various activities. PATA MTSC conducted this session via zoom application.

The first game, "Scribble (drawing)', was conducted by the president. It aimed to explore students' knowledge, drawing and guessing skills. The session ran for 20 minutes, and the members enjoyed playing the game virtually. Then Ms Kuha organized a 'Kuha The Explorer' (treasure hunt) game. She requested the students to find 10 small things listed within 5 minutes. The person who finds all these items within the given time will be announced as a winner. These small things or items were anything that can easily be found at home. Students enjoyed the game and managed to find the items.

The final game, '3D2N Itineraries,' was conducted by Ms.Teresa Dines. First, she divided the students into 2 groups and requested to generate a creative 3 Days, 2 Nights tour plan for domestic tourists. The student must explore the domestic tourism destinations' information in Malaysia, then create a tour plan consisting of attraction places, itineraries, and tour budget within 20 minutes. Then, they need to present the tour plan to the committee. Both groups managed to generate and present good tour plans. One group suggested a trip to Sabah; while another one suggested to Ipoh, Perak. The session was ended at 12.30 pm with few announcements on PATA-MTSC upcoming actives. All members enjoyed the session and expressed their interest in future events. Besides knowing each other more closely, this session also helped the committee recognize the new member's personality and skills.
