PATA Philippines LPU-Manila Student Chapter Hosted PATATalks : A Spectrum of Opportunities that Connects Tourism and Hospitality Students to Diverse Possibilities

Manila, Philippines, 16th April 2024 - PATA PH LPU Manila Student Chapter successfully hosted PATATalks: A Spectrum of Opportunities, a premier event that brought together students to explore a wide range of opportunities in the tourism sector.

There were speakers from the Airline Industry under Philippine Airlines, Mr. Rey Lopez, the flag carrier of the Philippines and from the Hotel Industry, Ms. Valerie Zubia, Richmonde Hotel HR Manager. The talk was enlightening for the Practicum 1 students, PATA Members and Officers. Students were given a gist on how the Tourism and Hospitality Industry is evolving and opportunities are wide enough to find their path. It was held at Jose P. Laurel Hall in the Lyceum of the Philippines University and the total audience was approximately 400 to 450 attendees.

“I learned about the diverse range of possibilities within the tourism industry, from sustainable travel initiatives to emerging technology trends. The seminar emphasized the importance of collaboration and innovation in seizing these opportunities for growth and development.” According to a cruise line student. It was really an enriching seminar where it emphasized the opportunities for them to grow.

Moreover, from one of the speakers “If you want to change your reality, change your mentality” this quote has become highlighted as if the students really want to change their reality they have to work their mentality. Envisioning themselves on their desired path can make a change.
