PATA Philippines LPU-Manila Student Chapter Partners with Travel Tales to Showcase Sustainable Travel Narratives and Ignite Passion in Young Professionals

Manila, Philippines, 14th May, 2024 - On Tuesday, the 14th, the PATA LPU-Manila Student Chapter collaborated with HT409ITM, a dynamic class of fourth-year students, to launch an exciting event showcasing tour package and brochure making competitions. The event immerses participants in the breathtaking landscapes and hidden treasures of the Philippines through captivating narratives and travel tales.

The goal of this event focuses on igniting passion and nurturing the spirit of travel adventure among young professionals in the industry. Aligning with SDG 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities, the showcasing travel brochures and tour packages featuring the Roxas City in Capiz and the region of Sorsogon, which emphasis on inclusive and sustainable urban development and the preservation of cultural and natural heritage in both provinces. Furthermore, the inspiration instilled in young professionals encourages them to adopt mindful tourism, thereby contributing to the broader goals of SDG 12: Responsible Consumption and Production.

Beyond serving as a partner, PATA's significant influence on this event is marked as well by the dedicated leadership of Eryn Ularte, Executive Auditor of PATA LPU-Manila Student Chapter. Additionally, alongside the numerous PATA representatives, two officers actively participated in the event's competitions. Kathleen Rivera, the Director for Logistics, competed in the travel brochure competition and won the 1st Place title, while Reizel Joy Layderos, the Executive Treasurer, joined the tour package presentation contest.

The vibrant gathering enriched everyone's knowledge and imaginations, demonstrating the endless adventures and boundless possibilities within the industry. Indeed, the stories shared by aspiring tourism professionals encourage a deeper appreciation for creative adventures and sustainable tourism practices. Henceforth, implementing sustainable development practices and artistic expression in our cultural heritage will ensure that future generations continue to cherish and explore the Philippines' diverse landscapes and vibrant communities.
