PATA Thailand Bangkok University Student Chapter Joins PATA & Skal Annual Christmas Charity Luncheon 2023
Bangkok, Thailand, 12rd December, 2023 - The PATA Thailand Bangkok University Student Chapter attended the PATA & Skal Annual Christmas Charity Luncheon, contributing to fundraising efforts for The Good Shepherd Sisters and supporting PATA Student Chapters. The event was a blend of joyous interactions, networking, and charitable initiatives.
On December 12, 2023, the PATA Thailand Bangkok University Student Chapter participated in the PATA & Skal Annual Christmas Charity Luncheon. The event was a vibrant mix of laughter, networking opportunities, and engaging sessions, fostering a strong sense of community and the spirit of giving. The luncheon successfully raised funds for The Good Shepherd Sisters, an organization dedicated to supporting underprivileged children, and for PATA Student Chapters to participate in international events. A highlight of the day was the lucky draw, where one of our students won a full trip discount to Khao Yai National Park, adding to the excitement and joy of the event.
One of our members, Morris, shared his thoughts: "It was inspiring to see so many people come together for such a great cause. The connections we made and the support we received were incredible."
The event was significant, with contributions ensuring that The Good Shepherd Sisters can continue their vital work and that PATA Student Chapters can benefit from international exposure. The event aligned with several Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), including Quality Education (SDG 4) and Reduced Inequalities (SDG 10). By supporting educational opportunities and reducing inequalities through funding and sponsorships, the event helped promote inclusive and equitable quality education and lifelong learning opportunities for all, as well as empowering marginalized communities. In total, the luncheon saw hundreds of attendees, including students, sponsors, and industry professionals. The connections made at the event are expected to lead to new collaborations and support for future initiatives. Additionally, the contributions for sponsored students to attend the PATA Annual Summit in Macau, providing them with valuable international exposure and networking opportunities.
