The Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) and TTG Asia Media are collaborating on a series of six articles that will look into the travel and tourism industry’s future, and provide guidance to stakeholders on how a responsible, meaningful and sustainable development could be achieved.

PATA explores “The Future of Tourism” in a series of interviews through multiple, interrelated sustainability challenges that have been exacerbated by the COVID-19 crisis; aiming to provide advocacy, research and publications to provide insights on the future of sustainable tourism.

Climate change and global warming is often used interchangeably. In this final episode of the Travel to: Tomorrow podcast, Rochelle Turner, Head of Research & Insight, MaCher explains the difference between the two terms. She also talks about the impact of climate change on global life, key actions that can be taken to curb climate change, and how tourism can help mitigate climate change!

The PATA Quarterly Tourism Monitor (QTM) provides a quantitative view of the arrivals into all major destinations within the Asia Pacific region, comparing visitor arrivals by source market and percentage change against the previous year on a quarterly basis. The numbers have been released for the second quarter of 2020.
