İstanbul Modern, Türkiye’s first modern and contemporary art museum, collects, preserves, and exhibits artworks from Türkiye and beyond. It features galleries for modern art, photography, and emerging artists, alongside exhibitions, educational programmes, and interdisciplinary projects.

Museum Hours

Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday, Sunday: 10 AM – 6 PM 
Friday: 10 AM – 8 PM
Monday: Closed

  • Entry to the museum ends 30 minutes before closing time.

  • İstanbul Museum of Modern Art is closed on January 1 and on the first day of religious holidays.

  • Free admission on Thursdays from 10.00 to 14.00 for residents of Türkiye. 

  • Free admission on Tuesdays from 10:00 to 14:00 for 18-25 year-olds residing in Türkiye.
