Ann Dumaliang

Managing Trustee, Masungi Georeserve Foundation

Ann Dumaliang is a Managing Trustee of Masungi Georeserve, a conservation project powered by geotourism and education located an hour and a half away from the capital of Metro Manila, Philippines. She is a National Geographic Explorer, a Vanity Fair Changing your Mind Awardee, a member of the Global Shapers Community, and a United Nations Regional Young Champion.

From protecting a karst landscape, Masungi Georeserve now aims to expand its efforts to restore some 3,000 hectares of denuded land. It has also received accolades for destination stewardship with the World Travel & Tourism Council, sustainable tourism from the United Nations World Tourism Organisation and the Win Win Gothenburg Sustainability Youth Award. Most recently, they received the top recognition for the Water Changemaker Award from the Global Water Partnership for speaking truth to power, creating youth lead movements, and overcoming inertia for watershed rehabilitation.
