Dr. Carl Jones

Managing Director, Southeast Asia SAP Concur

Dr. Carl Jones is Managing Director for Southeast Asia at SAP Concur. Carl leads a cross functional, multinational team with sales, pre-sales, client success and cloud channel partnerships, ensuring alignment for strategic projects within SAP. Carl is responsible for all client facing commercial activities in the region, and in addition represents SAP Concur with corporate initiatives such as Climate 21, SAP’s global sustainability initiative. He also leads the committee for Sustainability in Asia Pacific for the Global Business Travel Association (GBTA), helping to drive forward this critical agenda as it develops in Asia. An industry veteran who has held various regional leadership roles in Asia Pacific countries including Singapore and Thailand, Carl brings with him 20 years of experience in the travel and payments industry in Asia. Prior to SAP Concur, Carl was Vice President, Global Client Management and Global Business Consulting Asia Pacific with American Express Global Business Travel and in Concur has held positions leading regional strategy and travel development. Carl holds a Bachelor of Physics from the University of Oxford and a PhD in Applied Physics from the University of Manchester, as well as a Master’s Degree in International Relations from the Nanyang Technological University of Singapore.
