Leila is a tourism, competitiveness and international development expert with 25 years’ experience managing complex multi-sector economic programs for international donors and private sector clients. She specializes in developing tourism products and experiences, marketing destinations and enhancing the tourism policy environment to support industry growth. Leila led a highly-acclaimed four-year tourism program in Namibia, and developed strategies and supported tourism development in many destinations including Mozambique, Greece, and Sri Lanka. Leila has also developed and implemented livelihood and workforce development programs in countries like Tunisia and Jordan. Working for global contractors, she has been a technical advisor and managed programs for international donors and private clients in Africa, Asia, the Middle East and South America.
