Selim Ergoz

Based in Dubai, Selim Ergoz leads Government Business Development for Mastercard in the Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa region.

Selim has extensive experience in the financial sector, starting his career in Citibank in Singapore in 1997 and moving to Citibank Russia in 2003 to establish Citibank’s credit card business in Russia.

In 2008, Selim was promoted to Managing Director and Head of Consumer lending in Citibank Russia and in 2009, he joined Russian Standard Bank as Head of Credit Cards business, managing one of the largest cards businesses in Russia.

Selim then joined Visa Russia in 2014 as Head of Products and moved to Dubai as Visa’s Country Manager for Pakistan, UAE, and Qatar in 2016, before joining Mastercard in 2018.

Selim studied Computer Engineering at the Bogazici University in Istanbul and then received his MBA from Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh in 1997.
