PATA India Christ University Student Chapter: Splash&Sweep - The Mural Art
Bangalore, Karnataka, India, 3rd March 2024 - PATA India Christ University Student Chapter in collaboration with Centre for Social Action (CSA) took the initiative of promoting World Wildlife Day and organised a clean-up drive in a nearby locality and painted the walls in order to spread awareness about treating animals equally.
The volunteers in the morning started with cleaning and segregation of wet and dry waste and washed the walls. The walls were then painted and throughout the painting process, volunteers engaged in discussions about various animal rights issues, including animal cruelty, habitat destruction, and the importance of adopting sustainable practices. These conversations helped raise awareness and inspire meaningful dialogue within the community through wall paintings.The project sparked conversations and raised awareness about animal rights issues among community members, inspiring individuals to reflect on their relationship with animals and take action.The wall painting project on animal rights has been a transformative experience. Through art and activism, we have demonstrated the power of collective action in effecting positive change.
About PATA India CHRIST University Student Chapter:
Founded in 2020, PATA India CHRIST University Student Chapter is India’s first PATA Student Chapter. The organization is run by students of the tourism discipline of CHRIST (Deemed to be University) to benefit more than 250 members spanning across undergraduate and postgraduate tourism programmes in the university. The members are encouraged to participate in activities hosted by the chapter, focusing on various industry concerns, including sustainability and industry development.
