PATA Thailand Bangkok University Student Chapter: Participated in Power of Networking Beyond Borders
Bangkok, Thailand, 26 September 2024 - The PATA Thailand Chapter, in collaboration with IT&CM Asia and CTW (Asia-Pacific Corporate Travel World), hosted a compelling event titled "PATA Power of Networking: Beyond Borders - The New Era of Visa-Free Travel"on Thursday, 26th of September 2024. Held at the Bangkok Convention Centre at CentralWorld, this gathering attracted key industry professionals eager to explore the impacts of visa-free travel on tourism and economic growth.
The event opened with remarks by Khun Ben Montgomery, who is an executive board member and chairperson of the PATA Thailand Chapter. She set the stage for the discussions, emphasizing the importance of cross-border collaboration in reshaping the future of travel. Khun Ben highlighted how visa-free policies are becoming a pivotal strategy in attracting global travelers, fostering economic development, and opening up new tourism markets.
The core of the event was focused on insights from officials representing the Tourism Authority of Thailand, the Thailand Convention & Exhibition Bureau (TCEB), and the Thailand Incentive and Convention Association (TICA). The event aimed to equip attendees with practical knowledge of how visa waiver programs have worked successfully in Thailand and beyond.
The highlight of the session was the panel discussion featuring Khun Supanich Thiansing, Director of Meetings and Incentives at TCEB, and Khun Sumate Sudasna, President of TICA.
