PATA Thailand Bangkok University Student Chapter: Partners with KMITL's IGEN Club for International Youth Peace Day Event

Bangkok, Thailand, 19 September 2024 - The PATA Thailand Bangkok University Student Chapter was honoured to collaborate in the International Youth Peace Day event, held at KMITL, King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology, and organized by KMITL’s IGEN Club. This special event provided a platform for fostering peace, sustainability, and youth engagement, and we were proud to be part of it.

As part of our collaboration, we were invited to organize a booth at the event, allowing us to showcase our activities, engage with attendees, and build meaningful connections with various organizations. Our booth offered an exciting opportunity to present our initiatives and discuss future collaborations with like-minded individuals and institutions. Additionally, our chapter chairperson participated in a panel discussion focused on sustainability, which added significant value to the event. The panel addressed pressing issues related to sustainable development, offering insights and solutions to promote a more environmentally conscious future. This provided our chapter with a platform to share our perspectives on sustainability and our ongoing projects.

The event promotes sustainable growth by inspiring young leaders to address global challenges, such as conflict resolution and environmental sustainability, through innovative solutions and dialogue. Its focus on youth engagement ensures that future generations are equipped with the knowledge and motivation to drive positive change in their communities and beyond. From a broader perspective, the event's emphasis on peace and sustainability aligns with global Sustainable Development Goals, particularly those related to peace, justice, strong institutions, and partnerships for achieving these goals. By continuously engaging young people in discussions and activities around these themes, the event can become a recurring platform for building a more peaceful and sustainable world.

The event was particularly remarkable, as it strengthened our partnership with KMITL’s IGEN Club , and allowed us to engage with other organizations, building long-lasting connections that could lead to future collaborations. This event not only highlighted our commitment to promoting sustainability and peace but also reinforced our position as a key player in fostering international youth engagement and collaboration. We look forward to future events and joint initiatives with our new partners and are excited about the possibilities these connections will bring.
